Hello,

Not sure if this is the best place to look but I work for WA Consultants in the UK who specialise in providing engineers for our telecoms/bluechip clients.

Im currently looking for a GUI Automation Engineer to work on long term contracts for a market leading bluechip company in Cambridge/Stevenage in the UK.

The candidate needs to be avaliable immediately, rates are £35-40 per hour and a wireless/telecoms background is highly preferential.

Job Description:
Working in the Regression and Verification (RAV) team, automating the testing of the GUI / Logging of test mobile products.

The successful candidate will have excellent working knowledge of Perl, Python and Command Line Scripting to analyze and compare captured data in various formats. The individual should also possess an excellent knowledge of GUI automation using tools such as WinRunner.

Knowledge of Mobile / Wireless Communications would be a distinct advantage.

Profile:
The successful candidate should possess some or all of the following:
•Desire to work in a technical discipline, preferably within a cellular environment
•Possess an understanding of Mobile Telecommunications
•Have used Python, Perl, C#, C++, .NET, MFC, WinRunner and Auto IT
•Analyzing captured data against expected outcomes
•Developing automation scripts to enhance testing and analysis process
•Develop test cases based on documentation maintained by developers
•Self motivated, self starter with a can do attitude
•Able to communicate well between various departments which will all be involved in the development of the Test Mobile Application
•Able to work effectively alone, whilst being a team player
•Ability to work under pressure, and provide good quality work in a timely manner
•Demonstrates solid aptitude for solution finding
