Are ISEB and ISTQB set to stay, where are the new ideas in Test Management Coming From?

Many organisations are frightened of changing alignment to traditional Test Management frameworks such as ISEB and ISTQB; but is that because there are no new innovations in Test Management techniques and frameworks, or is it because the widely recognised frameworks are seen as best practice rather than practical.
Other than constant changes to standards, it’s difficult to see where the new breakthrough is coming from in Test Management frameworks, something that ignites murmurings, something that gets you looking up from the paper, something that stirs and inspires Test Managers to really get excited.
What do you think? Is there a new and exciting framework? is there a new iterative model? are Agile practitioners getting worried? is there a new kid on the block?
